Sherwood Lumber Distributes Custom Cut Cedar for Kansas City Rose Society Project
Sherwood Lumber is proud to be the distributor who provided custom cut Western Red Cedar, which was used by the Kansas City Rose Society. The Kansas City Rose Society used the cedar to build phase one of their Pillar and Pergola project. Notice how mortise-and-tenon joinery (no screws) was used to assemble the pillar, providing it with a very nice natural look.
The Western Red Cedar timber came from Vancouver Island in British Columbia and was cut and finished on the mainland in Surrey, by a custom cutting mill.
