ISLANDIA, NY– Sherwood Lumber added some height and flexibility to their exhibit at the 2014 Northeastern Retail Lumber Association (NRLA) LBM Expo ’14 hosted at the John B. Hynes Memorial Convention Center in Boston, MA. Along with Georgia-Pacific Engineered Lumber, Sherwood Lumber was the highlight of the show, entertaining the masses with stilt-walking and contortionist performers.

2014 is off to a great start for Sherwood Lumber! We’ve attended the NRLA LBM Expo (Boston, MA); IDEAS LBM Show (Philadelphia, PA); LMC Annual Meeting (Tampa, FL); ABC Conference & Expo (Atlantic City, NJ); PAL Business Conference and Buyers Show (Orlando, FL); and the NAHB International Builders’ Show (Las Vegas, NV) already this year. It has been great catching up with our friends and partners throughout the regions to share new product information as well as meet with more of our customers to find out what their needs are.

The lumber industry by its very nature is erratic, and subsequently supply, demand and pricing all become increasingly difficult to control or predict. It was with this in mind that Sherwood Lumber introduced Guaranteed Forward Pricing in 2011, a resource that has become invaluable for our customers. Since its introduction, the number of customers taking advantage of this risk-averting service has doubled each year, demonstrating the desire for stability in an often uncertain market.

Sherwood Lumber is pleased to announce they are attending the 2014 Northeastern Retail Lumber Association (NRLA) Expo at the John B. Hynes Memorial Convention Center, February 26th - 28th.
This year they are coming to the expo with a “Cirque Du Sherwood” theme, sure to leave ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and children of all ages wide eyed and in wonder. In addition, the Eastern region, which is where Sherwoodʼs headquarters have been located for 60 years, continues to require substantial support as the construction market improves and the post-Super storm Sandy build out continues.
